FREMONT, CA, February
6, 2008 -- Optoplex Corporation, a leading supplier of
innovative fiber-optic components for the next-generation
communication systems, announced that its new optical
performance monitor (OPM)/Optical Channel Monitors (OCM)
can fully support 40-Gb/s modulation rate.
Optoplexs OPM/OCM products are based
on scanning tunable filter technology, which requires
only a single-element photo-detector for measuring channel
power and center wavelength. By comparison with sensor
array based technology, it is an intrinsically low-cost
approach to meet today's explosive network demands. With
advanced algorithm and innovative signal discerning elements,
Optoplexs OPM/OCM is now capable of detecting 40-Gb/s
signals with duobinary, DPSK, or DQPSK modulations, in
50 or 100 GHz channel spacing. Along with other innovative
products, Optoplex is now becoming a critical player for
the 40-Gb/s components.
Optoplex provides customized solutions
to telecom network equipment and testing instrument providers
for wavelength routing and signal conditioning. Current
product families include DPSK
demodulator/Delay line interferometer (DLI), DQPSK
demodulator, 90-degree
optical hybrid, Optical
interleaver, Tunable
optical filter / Reconfigurable
optical add/drop multiplexer (ROADM), Optical
performance monitor (OPM) / Optical
channel monitor (OCM).
