Optoplex Corporation announces its DI Series product line,
a differential phase-shift
keying (DPSK) demodulator designed specifically for
next generation optical telecommunication systems utilized
in commercial, defense and space exploration markets.
Optoplex's DI Series DPSK
demodulator improves signal quality and performance
to meet the expanding demand for higher and more complex
data rate transmissions within current and next generation
systems without major capital expenditure (CAPEX).
Optoplex's DI Series demodulator is a
cost-effective solution for eliminating digital signal
degradation along a fiber-optic transmission system. Until
now, the ever increasing demand for higher data rate communications
within a fiber-optic network has been limited by the deterioration
or distortion of a signal's quality with increasing data
rate. With Optoplex's DI family of products, signals in
the fiber can be transmitted at ever increasing speeds
while maintaining signal integrity. Optoplex's DI Series
demodulator requires no thermal electrical cooling (TEC)
to maintain an optimal operating temperature, allowing
for fewer components and minimal, to no power consumption.
eatures of Optoplex's DI Series demodulator
include: C-band and L-band coverage by a single device;
transmission rates in the range 2.5 to 160 Gb/s; low temperature-dependent
frequency shift (TDFS) of less than ±0.75 GHz;
low polarization-dependent frequency shift (PDFS) of less
than ±10 MHz for a 40 Gb/s device; stability against
vibration; low power consumption of less than 1.5 watts
(at peak tuning); and operating temperature of -20°C
to +85°C.
